    @Valca000 Dude I was born and raised there and it’s my home. It’s not like what you says at all. The island is beautiful in both the look and the people. and of course there are something bad about the island like some drug usage but things are rough all over in this world.

    I’m taking more of the behind the scenes, it’s the greed amongst land owners and resort/bar operators. I’ll give you some examples:

    1. No one could agree on public 3-phase electricity, and this has been going on for decades.
    2. No one would care to share roads into other resorts. Either, they are asking 40 mil bath for other resort operators to rent the road, or they just block it off completely.
    3. The thai police are given bribes so that the bar can open LOUD music till 11 am the next day.

    4. There are corruption between land owners invading other lands and building fences to take away portions of other properties. Always creating conflicts.

    5. Hopeless to bring any justice to court, as a typical Thai court case will take you up to 5-10 years to process… useless and not worth it.

    6. Koh Phangan is a gold mine for quick profiteering…. everybody wants in and conflicts are building up to for this opportunity.

    Anyways… Haad Kon Tee (the small one next to Haad rin)…. is safe in good hands, not selling it anytime soon and will keep it as a pristine beach…
