    I will be on my first trip with Thai Airlines to Japan in September..was wondering how it compares against Emirates?

    How did you find the seats?.. im heading to shanghai and am afraid of getting stuck with an a330-300.

    In principle they were ok..but your space will be squeezed once the person in front of you fully reclines..maybe you go for bulk head.

    Homer, I will be having a rather long transit in Dubai in September with Emirates (I will be on EK 58), have you tried the Dubai International Hotel inside the terminal?
    BTW do you happen to know whats the minimum required transit time between Thai airline flights..i have a transit of 85 mins between my thai airline flights to Japan..

    Sorry, no on both accounts..dont know it. How long is your transit? I am going on EK58 myself next week..the usual old planes from DUS. The terminal hotel is quite expensive, i think. If you have time, take a hotel outside.

    thanks for your reply and pointer on marhaba lounge..I checked it out and seems decent value for the price..42 USD would be 30 euros or something…I have a long transit (15 hours) due to an error of judgement while I made the booking from my agent..

    Actually, with 15 hours i would probably take a hotel outside,,they are really cheap these days..and/or have a look at the city, time permitting.
